A Race against Time,
Death is around the Corner
According to various sources 1.78 people die every second, 107 every minute, 6390 every hour, 153,000 every day. Most of these people are taken away from this life out being prepared. They are caught off guard. You and I might be the next number right after reading this eye-opening article. We have no guarantee that we will get through the day safely or be able to get up the next morning as usual.
You might be unexpectedly hit by a speeding car out of no where; while flying by plane you might never reach your destination and end up in a tragic in the air. You might be on your usual train trip to get to work or to school but the train might be headed for an accident and you are numbered as one of the victims on prime time TV news hour or front page news papers. You are having a good time with your spouse or family members or friends at home and suddenly an earth quake breaks out and you are immediately crashed under the impact and you are gone for ever. You believe that you are completely healthy and you go to bed believing that you will wake up the next day to do your routine life however you might not see the sun the following day and not be able to attend a family breakfast as usual. There is a shot out between individuals around you and suddenly a stray bullet lands in your head and you breathe your last. "Time and unforeseen occurrence befall us all". Ecclesiastes 9:11
We don’t have enough time really and there is more to this life! This very time we should make use of it to prepare ourselves and those around us to earn a place in heaven. Not paying attention to the lies and illusions that flash before us instead giving more value to the manifestation of the perfect world and discipline our hearts and minds in preparation for it.
Billions of people who inhabited this earth like you and me had already crossed over to the other side and their graves are all around us. We should reflect on that reality and always be mindful of our earthly destiny. You will leave behind what ever you have amassed in this life. Your education, power, fame, beauty, wealth, influence, intelligence and other achievements will be a thing of the past.
We should live this life as people in a transit.
Jesus spoke a parable to them, saying, "The ground of a certain rich man brought forth abundantly. He reasoned within himself, saying, ‘What will I do, because I don’t have room to store my crops?’ He said, ‘This is what I will do. I will pull down my barns, and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. I will tell my soul, "Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take your ease, eat, drink, be merry."‘ "But God said to him, ‘You foolish one, tonight your soul will be taken from you. So the things which you have prepared—whose will they be?’ So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God." Luke 12:16-21
